Our MOUTH-WATERING Weekends!
These weekends are the ultimate for chocolate lovers who want to indulge in the wonderful world of chocolate. The weekend includes a 2 night stay in one of our fantastic chocolate themed bedrooms, breakfast each morning, and of course lots of delicious chocolate to treat yourself with!
The weekends begin on Friday, where you are greeted at reception by a cascading chocolate fountain. You will be invited to dip marshmallows into the delicious Belgian chocolate.
Chocolate weekend packages are perfect for an anniversary, birthday, special occasion or even just a weekend break with a fellow chocoholic!
Itinerary
Friday evening you are invited to the welcome party which commences at 7pm and last until 8pm. Meet fellow chocoholics over a glass of bubbly. The rest of the evening will be yours to enjoy, allowing you to try the wonderful local restaurants, bars and beaches.
Saturday
Breakfast from 8:00am till 9:30am
At 11am the first tantalising chocolate course starts. During the two hour session, our experienced chocolatier will give you an informative, detailed history of chocolate, provide you with different chocolates to taste and more interestingly guide you through matching chocolate with wine and spirits.
Recently we have worked with Laurent Gerbaud of Belgium who has produced a range of chocolates to match red and white wines as well as spirits. This will provide the basis of our wine, spirit and chocolate matching.
The session finishes with Chocolate Portrait Painting, allowing you to immortalise yourself using milk, dark and white chocolate, resulting in a tasty framed masterpiece.
The afternoon is yours to find somewhere nice for lunch ( we can recommend) and enjoy the afternoon either shopping in Bournemouth or walking along the beach.
The Chocolate Bar will be open from 6:30pm with a variety of beers, wines and spirits. The Chocolate Bar also is home to the incredible Kis Cocktail machine making fresh cocktails in matter of seconds. If you are still craving chocolate then why not try one of our hand-made delicious chocolate cocktails.
Sunday
Breakfast from 8.30am till 10am.
At 11am your second chocolate workshop of the weekend will commence. The chocolatier will welcome you to the class and will demonstrate how to make superb chocolate truffles with a selection of toppings. Once set, your chocolates are ready for packaging. You will amaze yourself on how professional your chocolates look - Good enough to sell!!
We will also touch on and make one tray of solid molded chocolates.
